The main reason people are not too much conscious the effect of spending long time in one place a day.
In the recent past, we had to clean the plates and the floor ourselves; now recent time people use a dishwasher and a vacuum cleaner. So people spend less time to clean their house. This is the privileges of technology. But the main difficulty is that, people keep away from physical activity, which decreases blood motion in your body. Our parents and grandparents did many activities, they work hard. At that time there was no dishwasher and vacuum cleaner even computer.
Sitting long time leads to a many health problems, like obesity, heart problem, diabetes and back pain.

Sitting for long time bend your backbone into a C-shape, so sitting that way for a long time can cause cramping and pain muscles.
When you sit for a long time place a cushion at the back, you realize more peaceful and keep your back straight, which help you to sustain a suitable stance.

Eating foods and spend more time in front of your TV a day, you're 23 per cent more possible to turn into obese.
Try to avoid the eating food when you are watching TV. Take a smash every 30 minutes.
